There’s been considerable hubub over the last year about how “off target” the Sony PS3 marketing has been ever since their “WTF, ID4?” and “WTF, children of the corn” teaser ads (Ok, we didn’t get these in Australia). Now check-out what their booth looks like at this year’s Leipzig Games Conventio.

Seems that Seven’s doesn’t have to worry about third-party partners getting in the way of their TiVo roll-out next year - Ten’s gone to Foxtel.

NewTeeVee: One in Five US Homes Have DVR, Just not Tivo
The down-side is that TiVo’s offerings (regarded as better and more-mature than others) are still not #1. This is possibly due to an unpopular service-oriented business model. Could it be that TiVo’s “Betamax-alike” will be killed by the long tail?

(low fat, serves 4)
Even though this is a low-fat recipe, it tastes absolutely fantastic. The recipe comes from ABC’s Delicious magazine, circa 2005-2006. It’s a good intro to the mild lemony flavour of sumac (which is also great on grilled meats and rubbed-into sliced white onions). Mind you, the flavour does get kind-of pummeled by the cloves and lemon.

OK, there’s no way this is new per-se, but it’s new to me (and cool). An added surprise is it’s officially certified Lucasfilm gear (well, I suppose maybe not that surprising considering Star Wars is the apex of film merchandising).
A mere US$16.99 RRP. Supposedly officially available at StarWarsShop.com and Hot Topic (But it ain’t). An eBay-spawned site called Banana Toys seems to have some (smaller sizes) stock, also there might be some on eBay proper, YMMV.
In the process I noticed there are a couple of other StarWars parody shirts at StarWarsShop.com that I really liked:

(You bastards!)

Apparently Hamas has killed-off the store-brand Mickey Mouse named “Farfur” on their kid’s TV show in a no doubt traumatising scene designed to instill hatred of Israel.

I have another project that requires a photo of Darth Vader, so I scanned Flickr for a freely-plagiarable photo that might suit. I found the photo above in the process. Click-through to read the witty caption-contest commentary.
