Not really news, but I thought I might record a couple of the obvious-in-function but differently named rip-offs of the US bargain site Woot!: The similarly named Zazz! and the less catchy but more meaningfully named Catch of the Day.
Those German thriftmeisters have done it again! They’re shifting a 1G Secure Digital flash card with inbuilt USB interface. This combo was pioneered by SanDisk in their “Ultra II Plus” models and I’ve not seen it anywhere else.
OK, there’s no way this is new per-se, but it’s new to me (and cool). An added surprise is it’s officially certified Lucasfilm gear (well, I suppose maybe not that surprising considering Star Wars is the apex of film merchandising).
